The starting point

Use your own daily belongings as a packing list. Capacity on a label cannot tell you how those items will fit together.

Lay out your daily load

Put your usual essentials on a table: your device, charger, lunch, bottle, keys, and anything else you routinely carry. Separate occasional items from daily items. This gives you a concrete packing list to compare with a bag’s internal dimensions and pocket layout.

Think about access in motion

Consider what you reach for on a commute and what can stay tucked away. Look at how the main compartment opens, whether small essentials have a dedicated place, and where a bottle will sit. Compare product photographs with the exact dimensions of the items you carry.

Plan for your route

Think through the spaces your bag will enter: a crowded train, a small locker, a bicycle basket, or an office drawer. Check external dimensions and care instructions. If possible, assess comfort with a realistic load while respecting the retailer’s return conditions.
